When I saw this SpongeBob Comics cover it reminded me of not one vintage comic book cover image but two.
You take the classic in-your-face image from the iconic fourth issue of The Avengers.
Then add this King-Size Special Amazing Spider-Man cover, and you come up with a proper swipe/homage from the folks at "United Plankton Pictures".
