The image at top from "The Origin of the Simple Surfer" appeared in Not Brand Echh #13. This spoof by Marie Severin really does an excellent job mimicking the work of John Buscema and Joe Sinnott from Silver Surfer #1. This one copies the layout of the word balloons and even that special Kirby crackle all the Bullpen adopted at the time.
