Reading Howard Chaykin's masterpiece American Flagg might be an ideal way to celebrate this most American holiday.
I found the first volume of this reprint collection a few months ago, and the second one I stumbled upon just a few weeks ago. It contains a "new" Chaykin story featuring the characters. Both volumes look great.
