Robots have been trying to save and destroy the world for decades. I'm very much looking forward to the latest attempt in the new flick, The Avengers: Age of Ultron. It's hard not to root for Ultron, given that he's fighting Robert Downey Jr.

More proof of Kirby being ahead of his time: That cover of Fantastic Four #93 with Torgo and the Thing. It looks like Ben is about to get clocked with a SmartPhone with a Thor’s hammer attachment….Also I recall having the reprint of that Challengers / Ultivac story (Challengers of the Unknown #75)…Was a great issue.
ReplyDeleteThose four issues with Ben Grimm on the gangster planet battling Torgo and others was my first glimpse of Kirby's fascination with mobsters, a wild fun arc.
DeleteI've recently read those vintage Challenger stories again and they really hold up. Rock solid adventure.
