Above is the cover to my first
Frankenstein. It's a Scholastic book edition, pretty no-frills. This was one of the earliest books I ever read and almost certainly one of the first to offer up an other-worldly environment.
I've always thought the "artistic" cover had a lot going for it. It communicates a feeling of "weird", but isn't especially ghastly in any way. Made to order for a school setting. I've no idea who the artist is. I'd love to find out.
This tome is still tumbling around here somewhere, hidden away in a box long ago.
Rip Off
