Ditko must have been one busy artist during this period, and making a decent living with his page output.
ReplyDeleteHe was just beginning to catch fire when his tuberculosis forced him to return home to recuperate for nearly a year. As busy as he was in that first year, he'd be even busier in the next several years, partly because the page rates at Charlton dropped after the plant suffered a flood.
