Captain Atom #83 is by scripter Dave Kaler and artists Steve Ditko and Rocke Mastroserio. The credits showcase that Ditko plotted this tale. His revised version of Blue Beetle debuts in this issue with a script by Gary Friedrich.

I have really been enjoying your Captain Atom articles over the last few weeks (I've been travelling I'm the US with limited internet so apologies for not commenting sooner) I'm pretty surprised that DC when they obtained the character that they changed him so much. Diktos original take is so superior to DCs character that for me is visually drab and uniteresting.
