The Spirit Casebooks!

In addition to the many magazines and even more comics, Kitchen Sink produced two quality magazine-size collections of vintage post-war Spirit stories called The Spirit Casebooks. The first was first published in 1990 and gathers some of the best stories such as "Two Lives", "Ten Minutes", "Life Below", "Visitor", "Fox at Bay", "The Embezzler" and many more including classic femme fatale tales such as "Wild Rice", "Lorelei Lox", "Satin", and "Meet P'Gell". Also inlcuded among other tales is the two-part Sand Saref storyline. All of these look great in stunning black and white.

The second of The Spirit Casebooks is subtitled "All About P'Gell" and offers up ALL of the P'Gell stories from the vintage Spirit Sections as well as the story produced for the second Underground Spirit from Kitchen Sink. Not included is "Meet P'Gell" since it's in the first volume, but frankly it's missed if this is the only one you can get your hands on. This includes those stories not drawn by Eisner too, so it's thorough.

Two great volumes and both highly recommended if you cand find them.

Rip Off
