Got a chance to see the movie Hancock yesterday. It was a bit of surprise, as the pacing was much quicker than I expected and the themes though serious were handled with a wonderfully light touch without diminishing their impact.
The story of a drunken superhero who saves folks but with a maximum of property damage and with no regard to their feelings was a neat idea. I won't say much more for fear of spoiling this one, but I really found the movie a neat spin on classic superhero tropes.
I even liked his eventual supersuit, it seemed quite logical. And the title which I've always hated (and the reason I likely didn't go see it in the theatres) made sense at least.
I recommend it very much.
