This pose became "iconic" thanks the zillion times that the cartoon used this classic Ditko image on the cartoon. It's interesting to compare the original from Spider-Man #19 to the brighter reprint version from Marvel Tales. Thanks to the miracle of editing you have a bit of Kirby and dash of Heath thrown in alongside the Ditko.
