ReplyDeleteI have an instinct that Bill Everett had something to do with it, but that's just speculation.
DeleteThat other Ditko Spider-Man post was heavily embellished by Marie Severin so I tend to think that any embellishing here is likewise her. I’m looking at this on a tablet bit I’m nonetheless inclined to say that what I can manage to make out looks more like Severin than Everett.

I don't see Severin's hand in these images, but you might be right. Everett was working for Marvel at around the time these posters were put out, but I'm not convinced it's him either. Maybe it was someone outside the Bullpen.
