As Jack "King" Kirby was headed out the door to take his talents to DC, he was finishing up on a Ka-Zar feature in Astonishing Tales and likely more to heart, The Inhumans at long last in Amazing Adventures. He produced four stories in which the Royal Family of Black Bolt, Medusa, Triton, Karnak, and Gorgon battled longtime Iron Man enemy The Mandarin. Inked by Chic Stone this one is full of energy and punch but confined withing a mere ten pages or so the feature fairly screamed out demanding more space. Eventually it would get that space, long after both Kirby and Neal Adams had come and gone on the feature. Above is the fourth of four great splash pages he generated for this series which in many ways was his swan song to Mighty Marvel and the cavalcade of characters he had created.

I've just downloaded the very latest graphic novel of "Extraordinary X-Men" which features the X-Men vs. The Inhumans so I'm looking forward to that :)
