I am an unabashed Monkees fan. The wit and charm of that zany television show is a big part of my boyhood, and I continued to appreciate and enjoy the music right on through. It ain't hip, and it ain't deep, but it's just plain fun to listen to.
It's with great sadness that I hear of the death of Davy Jones. He was a pure entertainer who had a bright smile and a great appreciation it seemed for what life had given him. I hope I'm right when I say, he seemed to enjoy his life, because I know I certainly enjoyed his music.
I know what I'll be listening to for the next few days.
Rip Off
