
From Charlton's The Phantom #34 comes this gem by Jim Aparo. The writer is listed as "Norm DiPluhm", which is code for Steve Skeates I think although he has denied it. Enjoy this 60's romp, as the Ghost Who Walks finds himself outwitted by a purple monkey.








One thing that is impressive in this story is how Aparo uses the panel designs to invigorate the action, it's very subtle and exceedingly effective. Early Aparo has a real vitality that alas I fear he lost a wee bit with his later work at DC, as good as that work was.
