The Green Hornet is a classic pulp hero who has had a variety of comic companies publish his adventures such as Harvey, Helnit, Dell, and Gold Key. In the early 90's NOW Comics took a crack at reviving the hero after a long hiatus and did it with quite a bit of style as evidenced by this stunning Jim Steranko cover.
It's a rousing bit of artwork from an artist who has given us just enough great artwork that we remember his awesomeness.
Jeff Butler was no slouch when he produced this cover for the second printing of the debut issue. NOW's creative team remembered that the Green Hornet and the Lone Ranger occupied the same universe, though they had to be tricky not to mention the name of Kemosabe. More on that later this week.
Look for more great covers later today.
