Here is an eye-filling gallery of delightful dames, rough and tough gals who have that come hither look gleaming in their orbs, but they also are flashing caution. Proceed at your peril. But then of course like Sir Galahad, you want to face the peril.

In case you couldnt tell from all my comments it's been a lot of fun to look at a different gal every morning in Feb
ReplyDeleteGlad you've enjoyed these lovely ladies. I had to leave a few out and maybe enough with time to schedule another round.

Ah, so that's where the image on the masthead of 'Diversions Of A Groovy Kind' comes from. There's a big difference between the American meaning of dame and the British meaning - in Britain a Dame (capital letter intentional) is a female K.B.E. (Knight of the British Empire) which is awarded by the Queen. The Dame is also a character in a pantomime who is traditionally played by a man dressed as a woman (and the 'Principal Boy' is always a girl dressed as a man).
ReplyDeleteOh yeah. A "dame" here is a gal you don't want to mix it up with. She knows her own mind, and doesn't want you making it up for her.
