Here's a gallery of different interpretations of the Human Torch by a host of artists from across the decades.
My favorite remains Jack Kirby's peculiar lined version with the flickers dotted throughout. The slicker version invented by Russ Heath in the 50's has been adopted in more recent years, but modern printing techniques really allow artists to play with the concept.

The bottom poster is, I believe, Marie Severin, but copying a Jack Kirby original (under orders).
ReplyDeleteWas Marie responsible for all of the posters generated at this same time? They all have an almost quality to them that this one does.
