Most Delicious Jams Ever!
I nearly trembled when I chanced upon these fantastic "jam" posters and began to see the richness of the images and the variety of the signatures. These are drawings and signatures gathered by Marty Griem, a longtime fan and fan publisher, and most famous perhaps for the creation of Thunderbunny. These pencils and inks and signatures seemed to have been gathered between 1978 or 1979 and 1983. I've seen jams before, but nothing as magnificent as represented by these wonderful banners.

Wow! I'm gonna see if I can print these on poster sized paper and hang them on my wall!

Those are simply awesome! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNote the really odd team of Wally Wood (very near the end of his life) inking Curt Swan's Superman. One of Woody's dreams was said to be to draw Superman but all he ever got to do were parodies, cameos and the Earth 2 Supes.
ReplyDeleteI keep looking at these and finding new details. One oddity is that Gil Kane is on two of them, but Green Lantern shows up on the comic strip panel just over Tarzan's shoulder while the Star Hawks figure shows up in the middle of a comic book gaggle. It's amazing how these are arranged.
ReplyDeleteOne neato thing is how John Romita drew the Golden Age Daredevil. That's funny.
