Fab 4 - Villains Galore & Much More!
I was exceedingly eager to get my mitts on the second Epic volume of vintage Fantastic Four volumes titled "The Master Plan of Doctor Doom". It's a repository for some of my all-time favorite Fab 4 stories featuring some of the dandiest villains in all the Marvel Universe. Not only do we have the titular Doc Doom who shows up a couple of times including an awesome origin story, but we get two Mole Man stories, a couple of Sub-Mariner yarns (including the epic first FF annual), Rama-Tut, Hate-Monger, Molecule Man, Diablo, Puppet Master, Red Ghost and the tragic Invincible Man. Not to mention the sheer oddness of the Infant Terrible. Add into the mix guests like fellow heroes the Avengers and the X-Men and Spider-Man and you know that this time period was one in which the Fantastic Four magazine was the spine of the entire Marvel Universe, the big time indeed. While the the Fab 4 have fallen on very hard times in more recent years, we will always have these gems by the likes of Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Dick Ayers, Chic Stone, George (Roussos) Bell, among others. Beautiful comics, each and everyone.
Rip Off
