December at the Dojo is showcasing one of Marvel's most curious creations - Warlock. The origins of Warlock extend back into the Silver Age, though "Warlock" himself by that name does not technically appear until the Bronze Age is well and truly underway. In many ways Warlock embodies the distinctive nature of the Bronze Age and how that time was different from the seminal Silver Age of Comics which preceded. Warlock also is a fascinating allegorical look at the nature of gods and men. Look for all this and much more as the Dojo takes a close hard look at the enigmatic savior of Counter-Earth --Adam Warlock.
And in the Favorite Cover feature this month it is Classics Illustrated. I adored these vintage glimpses of the great and perhaps not-so-great novels of the age. Whether it as adaptation of Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Charles Dickens, or the misadventures of Robin Hood, the Classics Illustrated comics were rigorously complete if not always vigorously exciting. They did though often sport some fascinating painted covers, when such things were rare, and it is those delightful vintage covers we will be celebrating this month.

I suspect that had Gil Kane continued on the book past issue 5, it just might have survived being canceled with issue 8.The Brown issues were ok, but it's hard to follow such as Kane.Overall, they sure made a royal mess of the character .Don't much care anymore what they now do with him.
