Here is a dandy
Pete Morisi cover for 1987's
Fantastic Adventures #1 from Ace Comics, a revival of that vintage title (of sorts). Filled with reprints, this one ironically touts a story by
George Tuska, the artist who Morisi most admired and who he intentionally mimicked. Though as is evident by this very cover, he went on to stylize his work into his own distinctive look.
I 'd love to get a look inside this one and discover if the unpublished story is connected to the infamous 1954 movie
Killers from Space starring Peter Graves.

I have got that look and can confirm there is NO relation.
ReplyDeleteThe plot centers around Professor Goetz, Hitler's leading expert in rockets who escaped to Mars and now returns...
Now I'm sad. Ah well thanks for the info. The Hitler story sounds like a rousing yarn anyway.

Did you two coordinate this? :)
No planning, just kismet. I noticed the coincidence too and was mightily pleased.
