Glenn Lord, the first and most important scholar of Robert E. Howard studies has passed away. Lord as agent for Howard's estate and owner of many of his papers is the man most responsible for the success of REH's creations in modern times.
He created
The Howard Collector in the 60's.
He saw pure Robert E. Howard stories collected and published minus the additions of other talents in the 80's.
And most importantly to me, he was the man who green lighted the Marvel Comics Conan adaptations in the 70's, arguably the most important aspect of Conan's success after the Lancer paperbacks.
Rest in peace and thanks.
Rip Off
