DC takes a lot of heat for having Murphy Anderson and others redraw Superman heads on the Fourth World work of Jack "King" Kirby. And it's justified in my books. As smooth as Anderson is, his style is different from Kirby's and the combo is jarring.
But evidently Marvel did the same thing by having John Romita redraw some of Kirby's Cap covers, specifically the head of Cap on the cover above. I frankly never noticed the difference on the published comic, but it's sure easy to see the paste up on the original artwork. Romita's style meshes with Kirby's a bit better than Anderson's, but it's still a shame that companies felt a need to correct the King.
