Above is the splash pages to the classic Atlas monster tale "Fin Fang Foom" by Stan "The Man" Lee, Jack "King" Kirby, and "Darin'" Dick Ayers.
Here is that splash page as reworked by Jim (Priest) Owsley, and with John Tartaglione inking over "King" Kirby's pencils. This version of the tale appeared in Crazy magazine.
I was planning to link to the story, but some of it seems to have gone away into the internet mists. Fortunately I saved it to my computer a while back and here it is in its entirety. I have little to say about this gem, but that even the mighty fall victim to satire. It's a hoot!
Cool! Since you still have the whole story saved, I'm re-directing traffic to here. It's just so much easier than (searching for and) uploading all the pages again. Thanx!
It's my pleasure. This one is too good to disappear. I need to find a copy of that Crazy issue. Or better yet, Marvel needs to reprint it alongside the original.
