Space War #6 was published in 1960. Ditko drew "The Blue Men of Bantro" for this issue which is where the cover art is derived. You can read it at this link.

I have the UK Alan Class issue of Astounding Stories. Alan Class comics reprinted hundreds of Ditko shorts over the years ( along with Wally Wood) so you always got a great read back in the day. Excellent cover.
ReplyDeleteCharlton had quite a knack for using interior art for covers. It was yet another money saver for the famously cheap publisher.
