Maybe it's unfortunate timing, but first the Phantom which Moonstone was doing quite well with and hitting marks (eventually), and now Captain Action a character no one had even thought about for decades. And since the Phantom left Moonstone, we've not exactly been covered up in product.

This is first Dynamite project in quite some time that's looked attractive to me, and that's because it seems to be about the writing first and the artwork second.

Rip OffRip Jaggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09936426877024852134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8220285230636101823.post-74158064206724981112013-06-14T13:10:10.452-04:002013-06-14T13:10:10.452-04:00"What does Nick Barrucci have against Joe Gen..."What does Nick Barrucci have against Joe Gentile anyway?"

I think it's the problem Moonstone has with getting books out on schedule.
Licensors don't like it when products based on their properties aren't available for the audience to spend money on them.
(Failure to meet delivery date is grounds for cancelling a license.)Britt Reidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07245579677452948620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8220285230636101823.post-39333468961103759212013-06-14T06:01:01.812-04:002013-06-14T06:01:01.812-04:00I've glanced at the other books they do and I&...I've glanced at the other books they do and I'm not that interested, though thanks for the recommendation. I do keep reading that Masks is great, so maybe I'll give it another look. I'm a bit sad to hear they have the rights to Captain Action now as that's another property they seem to have lifted away from Moonstone. What does Nick Barrucci have against Joe Gentile anyway?

Rip Off

Rip Jaggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09936426877024852134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8220285230636101823.post-40760924070466937362013-06-14T05:27:12.569-04:002013-06-14T05:27:12.569-04:00If you haven't checked out their other pulp co...If you haven't checked out their other pulp comics, you might want to do so. MASKS and THE SHADOW have been rather excellent, and they're bringing back Captain Action later this year, with Chris Roberson writing.Nathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13160421854225969107noreply@blogger.com
