Epting was the illustrator of the "Death of Captain America" story. Coincidence?Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08770723206974795506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8220285230636101823.post-12788223372255143092011-01-26T05:03:25.597-05:002011-01-26T05:03:25.597-05:00It's hype to build some interest in the FF. I ...It's hype to build some interest in the FF. I assume after a few months they'll start a new book with some title or other to house the remaining characters. It's like what they did to Thor forever, before relaunching him when he "died" there for a while.

Rip OffRip Jaggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09936426877024852134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8220285230636101823.post-62634625944436064542011-01-25T17:56:04.912-05:002011-01-25T17:56:04.912-05:00Just doesn't make any sense to me at the same ...Just doesn't make any sense to me at the same time Marvel is saying this is the next step in the "evolution of the legendary Fantastic Four franchise," but then they say the FF comic book is ending so where will the franchise be? In the Avengers? Are the FF going to join the X-Men? I mean I'm being ridiculous but unless they are being folded into some other book, or if they have a new monthly book of their own, they aren't going to have much of a franchise. And if they have a new monthly book why not just keep it the old book!Chimeradavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14373236451090168388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8220285230636101823.post-63951819138277348642011-01-25T15:42:29.534-05:002011-01-25T15:42:29.534-05:00Joe Quesadilla may not be editor in chief anymore-...Joe Quesadilla may not be editor in chief anymore---he has some other title----but this still has his grubby fingerprints all over it. This is the FF's 50th anniversary, so I doubt very seriously this will actually go very far. By the end of the year, Johnny Storm will be back.

Disney should consider dismissing Quesadilla, who couldn't keep a deadline as an artist, and is coming across now as an attention whore. Consider what has been done on his watch:

1. The Rawhide Kid, another Lee/Kirby creation, is "outed". Two bad miniseries follow.

2. Spider-Man's marriage to Mary Jane Watson is retconned out of the comics because Quesada had a hissy fit and felt it should never have happened. Luckily, after they tried it in the newspaper strip, the backpedaled and reinstated Peter & Mary Jane as a married couple. I wish they'd do that in the books, too.

3. Capt. America "dies".

4. Johnny Storm is "killed".

And who knows what other evil ideas have sprung from Quesada, aside from anything written by Kevin Smith.hobbyfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08089664500077967952noreply@blogger.com
