Adventures Of The Man-God Archive!

I have literally been waiting for this collection my entire fucking life! I fell in love with Hercules, the Charlton Man-God comic when I first snagged a copy of issue four featuring the famous demi-god tackling the queen of the Amazons. I've been a devoted fanboy of the series ever since, snapping up every issue and re-issue since. It's one of the finest adaptations of a myth to comics ever done and features magnificent artwork by the late great Sam Glanzman. Joe Gill and later Denny O'Neil did the writing as they took the myth of Hercules and presented dynamic adaptations of the classic Greek myths about the ultimate hero. This tome from Dark Horse is scheduled for August and I'm already on tenterhooks waiting for its arrival. There has been a bonanza of Sam Glanzman material made available in recent months and years and this summer now seems the ideal time to give the great underrated artist my complete attention leading up to the reprint of my favorite Glanzman project.

Here are the covers by Glanzman -- salivate along with me as we wait for Hercules to hit the stands once again.  (Now all we need is the Thane of Bagarth by Skeates, Aparo, and Kim!)

    1. That's how I felt when I first saw the news, so I decided to leave the sentiment intact. If you were around me in my non-line life, you'd not be surprised at my cursing, I'm pretty graphic.

  2. Whoa! August you say? I am so in for this too!!! Zeus's blessings to Dark Horse Comics for having the good sense to make this stellar Charlton series available once again to long suffering fans.

    1. I say it's been a obvious gap in reprinting of comics. A great series that deserves a larger audience.
