A Day In The Anti-Life - Tricky Dick!

I agree with our "so-called" President, one Donald J. Trump! He is absolutely the biggest dick who ever occupied the oval office. Kudos Donald, you win again. Sorry "Tricky Dicky", your time has passed. For more see this flabbergasting story from the "failing" New York Times. And when I got up this morning, this has happened.  The wheels are well and truly coming off -- be ready to duck and cover amigos.

  1. Makes you wonder how he ever got elected, eh, Rip? Something surely needs reforming about the voting system?

    1. I'm not there yet. The system failed certainly to deliver the best option, but that's happened before. Where the system is utterly failing is in the other branches of government not holding the line and demanding better of the executive. Congress has been much more supine than I expected, and that's been a horrible shame.

    2. Well, we could use some redistricting reform to prevent gerrrymandering. A more representative government would've helped about now. The electoral college is imperfect, but it does keep national candidates from ignoring the middle of the country. What I'd really like to see is cheaper, publicly funded elections to blunt the corruption. And maybe some sort of cut-off or senility test for long-serving members.

    3. Those are all very valid points. Gerrymandering is corrupting the process and the Supreme Court decision to allow unlimited money from donors has made open corruption possible. Now Trump and his ilk are demolishing the parameters of shame itself.

  2. I don’t even know what to say about this mess anymore. Maybe until the day when we’re all standing outside the While House gate (or the Mar-a-Lago golf course) shouting and demanding that this cretin & his enablers be dragged out in chains – we’re all part of the problem here.

    1. Taking to the streets is all well and good but it's elections that will alter behavior. Folks claim to be "woke", it will soon be time to show it at the polls.

  3. Not to mention the fight with Bannon. Sarah Huckabee Sanders had to try and say that Bannon did not have an important position at the White House and that Trump didn't listen to him much. Bannon was the CEO of the campaign, the Chief strategist, and was put on the National security council! As you said, the wheels are coming off. It has become very clear that Bannon leaving might have been Bannon's idea, he thought the ship was sinking and wanted to get off. Now he's hurling bombs at the ship because it's not blowing up as quickly as he thought.

    1. The schism between Trump and Bannon is amazing to behold, a battle by two cranks to keep a grasp on the folks who have found in them leaders to put forth their grievances. The folks deserved better, but they have to want it.
