Big Screen Heroes!

Marvel has a gazilliion great, near-great, and darn-good heroes. So here is a short selection of heroes I think might be worthy a big-screen deal.

And all of the heroes above, I thought would get a movie shot before the guy below.

I love Ant-Man, but really.

Take a look.

  1. 'Fess up, Rip - you just threw Dazzler in there to check if we were paying attention, didn't you, you ol' joker? Maybe one day, they'll get around to doing movies of the Eternals and Devil Dinosaur - they could be interesting if handled right.

    1. I actually thought 3-D Man was the joker in the deck. An Eternals movie would be awesome.

  2. Dazzler could be a sleeper hit. Tie her in with the X-Franchise, plus the whole original premise of this character was to market her in the mass media wasn’t it? (What do I know? :-)
    Here’s my movie choices:
Killraven – War Of The Worlds
    Ka-Zar and Shanna
    Werewolf by Night
    Hellstorm – Prince of Lies
    Mort The Dead Teenager

    1. Taylor Swift could play the part and then she could have a horrible career-ending injury which would make all of humanity smile.

      Just saying.

Werewolf by Night would be a great movie.

  3. What's amazing is how many of those characters are already announced for adaptation to either the big or small screen. The notion of, for instance, an Inhumans movie, until recently seemed remote, if not simply delusional.

    1. Seriously, I though only Subby was being worked up for the screen, but he's been in development for decades.

  4. Check out the YouTube video of Marvel's press event to announce their next phase with definite release dates. Inhumans, Captain Marvel (the female), Black Panther, Dr. Strange and others are all being incorporated into their cinematic universe. It's pretty overwhelming.

    1. I was properly boggled. I didn't realize the Black Panther was so imminent. I had heard about Doc Strange. I'm looking forward to the Infinity War storyline, and hope I live long enough to see it.

On another note, the hooplah at these events reminds why I deplore such gatherings. There's something unsettling about all that "worship". Interest I applaud, but it always feels a bit more desperate than that.
