Countenances Of The King!


Jack Kirby is properly renowned for his splendid and grandiose scenes of epic cosmic mayhem bristling with the crackling energy of creation itself, but "The King" was often focusing his attention on the smallest of universes too, the human face. Here is a smattering of his faces from many of his awesome creations over the decades. The faces can be angelically heroic or full of banal evil. They can be idealistically handsome or ferociously ugly. But they all reveal the inner life of the character, they all penetrate.
